Frequently Asked Questions

How do you teach training skills for trainers?

All of our training is learner-centred, so when we train trainers we practice what we preach. As well as providing core elements of important adult learning (pedagogical) theories, our trainer training is highly experiential, developing trainers to use the techniques we share.

So whether they’re working with new trainers or experienced workplace experts, our team offer a safe and supportive environment to test out new techniques.

What are the benefits of giving my staff trainer training skills?

Whether it’s onboarding a new team member or training an entire department in a new procedure, it’s often really valuable to develop your own staff into trainers. Training key staff to train others means you can develop more people, more often, in the skills specific to your business and your sector. Trainer training makes them more confident communicators and more effective all-round employees, and makes your business more resilient and responsive to the challenges of an ever-changing environment.

Who would benefit from attending trainer training?

Many staff will benefit, but specifically those who:

  • train other staff tasks or procedures regularly
  • are responsible for health and safety
  • provide product training sessions for customers
  • are responsible for induction training or helping others with continued professional development.
Why is training my staff important?

Recruiting and developing staff is an expensive business. A comprehensive learning and development programme will build employee engagement and help you retain staff. Training key staff to develop their peers will help them build confidence and share their skills and knowledge to ensure continuity as well as reduce expensive outsourcing costs.
